In a recent revelation, it was found out that fake mark cards of Bangalore University which were used by job aspirants in India are now being used by foreign nationals who want to get an exit permit. The police has also nabbed a Congo national by the name of Alex who was involved in the use of fake marks card.
Alex had approached the FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration) Office to get the exit permit with a third year BSc Bangalore University marks card. The officials got suspicious and found out that his degree was fake. Assistant Director of FRRO lodged an FIR against the Congo national. According to police sources, it was found that the Bangalore University marks cards are being rampantly used by people for different kinds of illegal activities. Fake degrees are being used by overstaying foreign nationals.
Counterfeiters are providing fake marks cards for Rs 10,000 and 25,000 per piece. K.R Venugopal Vice-chancellor of Bangalore University, however, said that he hasn’t heard of fake mark cards as of yet but if it comes under his notice then authorities will take stern measures against the culprits.
